Hager 2945 Universal Electric Rim Strike — US32D Satin Stainless, Compatible with Hager 4501 Rim Exit Device
The Hager 2945 is a universal electric rim strike engineered to pair with the Hager 4501 rim exit device, converting a standard rim exit opening into an access-controlled entry point. Added to the Hager electrified product line in December 2024, the 2945 is Hager's current-generation rim strike solution and ships complete with the required filler for a clean, professional installation. Finished in US32D / BHMA 630 (satin stainless steel), it suits commercial and institutional openings where corrosion resistance and a refined appearance are required.
Electric rim strikes allow facility managers, security integrators, and access-control contractors to add credential-controlled electric release to doors already equipped with a rim-style panic exit device — without replacing the exit hardware itself. When the strike is energized or de-energized (depending on fail-safe or fail-secure configuration), the latch of the rim exit device is released, permitting entry from the secured side. The 2945 supports both 12 VDC and 24 VDC operation and is field selectable for fail-safe or fail-secure, giving installers maximum flexibility across different access-control systems.
Key Features & Benefits
- Purpose-Built for Hager 4501: Factory-matched to the Hager 4501 rim exit device — eliminates guesswork on fit, function, and compatibility.
- Field-Selectable Fail-Safe / Fail-Secure: Configure on-site for fail-safe (locks fail open) or fail-secure (locks fail locked) to match your access-control system requirements.
- Dual Voltage — 12 VDC / 24 VDC: Compatible with the widest range of access-control power supplies without special ordering.
- Surface Mount Faceplate: Surface-mount installation with included filler for a complete, gap-free fit — no separate sourcing needed.
- US32D / BHMA 630 Finish: Satin stainless steel resists corrosion and coordinates with stainless or aluminum door and frame hardware in commercial corridors, healthcare, and institutional environments.
- Current-Generation Product: Added December 2024 as the active Hager universal rim strike — replaces older configurations in the Hager exit electrified lineup.
- SVR or Rim Exit Device Compatible: Cataloged for use with SVR or rim exit device applications, extending its utility across multiple opening types.
Typical Applications
- Commercial office buildings using rim exit devices on secondary or interior access-controlled doors
