Dorma P89 Parallel Arm Bracket
The Dorma P89 is the standard parallel-arm soffit bracket for the 8900 Series. The 8900 brochure (printed p.29) says it is furnished standard with 8900 non-hold-open and plunger hold-open parallel-arm applications. The catalog drawing is 3-1/2 x 3-5/8 x 1-1/8 in.
AF89P tri-pack closers include P89 on the complete device (brochure printed p.26). PHP also furnishes P89. This listing is the spare / replacement bracket. P86 is the 8600 / 7400 sister part -- do not order P86 for an 8900 closer.
Is P89 included with an AF89P or PHP closer?
Yes on the complete closer. Brochure printed p.26: AF89P tri-pack -- P89 included. Printed p.14: PHP -- P89 bracket furnished standard. This page is the replacement bracket when the soffit piece is missing or damaged.
P89 vs PHB vs PFT vs PD?
P89 = standard NHO / plunger-HO PA. PHB = friction hold-open PA (furnished with FHP). PFT = flush transom. PD = drop bracket to clear a surface stop (AF89 only).
