The Don-Jo PS-1 is a pivot set (top pivot + jamb bottom pivot) engineered for 3/4 inch offset door installations with a rated 600 lb load capacity. Constructed from non-ferrous material, this offset pivot set is suited for commercial and institutional doors requiring a heavy-duty pivot solution where a standard butt hinge is not specified. The PS-1 ships as a complete set — top pivot and jamb bottom pivot — and is available handed (specify LHR or RHR at time of order) in five finish options: 626 satin chrome (US26D), 605 bright brass (US3), 606 satin brass (US4), 612 satin bronze (US10), and 613 oil-rubbed bronze (US10B).

3/4" Offset Pivot Configuration

The PS-1 delivers a true 3/4 inch pivot offset, the industry-standard geometry for offset pivot door hardware on commercial frames.

• Top + Jamb Bottom Included: The set ships with both the top pivot and the jamb-mounted bottom pivot, providing everything needed to hang the door at the correct pivot axis without sourcing components separately.
• Handed Application: The PS-1 is handed — specify left-hand reverse (LHR) or right-hand (RHR) at the time of order; both hands are available at the same price.

600 lb Load Capacity

The PS-1 is rated at 600 lb, making it appropriate for solid-core wood and hollow-metal commercial doors where pivot hardware must support significant door weight.

• Non-Ferrous Construction: The non-ferrous material resists corrosion and provides the strength-to-weight profile expected of commercial-grade offset pivot hardware.
• Intermediate Pivot Guidance: For doors 60 to 90 inches in height, one intermediate pivot is standard; each additional 30 inches of door height warrants an additional intermediate pivot — the Don-Jo IP-34 series addresses those requirements separately.

Five Finish Options for Specification Flexibility

The PS-1 is available in five architectural finishes, allowing it to coordinate with the surrounding door hardware package without custom finishing.

• 626 Satin Chrome (US26D): The most widely specified commercial satin chrome finish, compatible with stainless and chrome hardware families.
• 605 Bright Brass (US3) / 606 Satin Brass (US4): Traditional brass finishes for institutional and hospitality applications requiring warm-tone hardware.
• 612 Satin Bronze (US10) / 613 Oil-Rubbed Bronze (US10B): Dark bronze finishes suited to period architecture and dark anodized aluminum frame packages.
