For wet locations -- food service, janitorial, or clinical wash-down areas -- look for stainless steel construction or a finish rated for moisture exposure. Nylon rollers reduce noise in quiet environments such as libraries or office suites where cabinet doors slamming is a complaint.

Installation Reality: What Goes Wrong

A roller catch that is off-center, mounted too far back, or paired with a strike that is positioned wrong will either fail to latch or will require so much force to close that the door frame takes the abuse instead. A few field reminders:
