The Sargent 8200 Series is a heavy-duty mortise platform for commercial and institutional openings. Certified to and exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.13, Series 1000, Operational Grade 1 and Security Grade 1 with all standard trims. This listing is the Double Dummy w/Active Trim function with CRR trim -- the R Rockport lever carried on the CR Contemporary Rose.

How the lock behaves at the opening, stated as the catalog states it, with what each line means in practice:

• Both Levers Turn: Trim on both sides are active — the levers on this dummy rotate, where the other dummy trims are rigid; turning one retracts nothing, because this function has no latchbolt and no deadbolt.
• Ships With the Lock Case: Includes lock case and armor front — this dummy includes the mortise case and its armored front, so it sets into a mortised pocket and shows a lock front on the door edge; the trim-only dummies do not.
• Not for the Inactive Leaf of a Pair: Not recommended on double door applications (will not accept latchbolt from active door) — this version will not receive a latchbolt from the active leaf, so Sargent does not recommend it on a pair of doors; the dummy trims prepped to take that latch are the trim-only 8293 (one face) and 8294 (both faces), which ship without a lock case and whose levers are rigid.

CRR Trim Design

CRR pairs the CR Contemporary Rose (2-3/16" (56mm), beveled edge) with the R Rockport lever (4-3/4" (121mm) long, +/- 1-7/8" (47mm) return). The carrier is a rose -- a compact plate around the lever, a different part from an escutcheon.

Door preparation: ANSI/SDI A250.14 modified per template 7057. Backset 2-3/4" (70mm) only. Confirm the stile before specifying: 4-1/2" (114mm) minimum stile for 7800/8200.
