The Sargent 8200 Series is a heavy-duty mortise platform for commercial and institutional openings. Certified to and exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.13, Series 1000, Operational Grade 1 and Security Grade 1 with all standard trims. This listing is the Double Dummy Trim w/Lockbody function with LSB trim -- the B lever carried on the LS Security Escutcheon.

How the lock behaves at the opening, stated as the catalog states it, with what each line means in practice:

• Trim on Both Faces: Trim on both sides of the door — a lever on each side of the door.
• The Lever Does Not Turn: Both trims are always rigid — this lever is rigid -- a fixed handle for pushing and pulling the door; it does not rotate and it operates nothing.
• Ships With the Lock Case: Includes lock case and armor front — this dummy includes the mortise case and its armored front, so it sets into a mortised pocket and shows a lock front on the door edge; the trim-only dummies do not.
• Not for the Inactive Leaf of a Pair: Not recommended on double door applications (will not accept latchbolt from active door) — this version will not receive a latchbolt from the active leaf, so Sargent does not recommend it on a pair of doors; the dummy trims prepped to take that latch are the trim-only 8293 (one face) and 8294 (both faces), which ship without a lock case and whose levers are rigid.

LSB Trim Design

LSB pairs the LS Security Escutcheon (2-1/2" W x 7-3/4" H (64 x 197mm), forged security escutcheon; four spanner security screws are exposed on the inside trim) with the B lever (5" (127mm) long, +/- 1-5/8" (41mm) return). The carrier is an escutcheon -- a full plate covering the lock area, a different part from a rose.

• Lever: B lever -- 5" (127mm) long, +/- 1-5/8" (41mm) return
• Handing: Ordered handed as our standard practice; specify LH, RH, LHR or RHR when ordering.
• Accessibility: All levers meet ADA compliance for national codes. Solid forged or cast. All lever height (+/- 1/16") measurements represent total distance from door face.
• Security trim: Forged security escutcheon; (4) spanner security screws are exposed on inside trim standard.

Door preparation: ANSI/SDI A250.14 modified per template 7057. Backset 2-3/4" (70mm) only. Confirm the stile before specifying: 4-1/2" (114mm) minimum stile for 7800/8200.
