The Sargent 8200 Series is a heavy-duty mortise platform for commercial and institutional openings. Certified to and exceeds ANSI/BHMA A156.13, Series 1000, Operational Grade 1 and Security Grade 1. This listing is the Deadlock - Cylinder x Thumbturn function (ANSI/BHMA F17) -- a mortise deadlock: a deadbolt in a mortise case, with no lever and no latchbolt.

- A Deadbolt Only -- No Latchbolt: Deadbolt operation only — there is no latchbolt in this lock -- the deadbolt is the only bolt, and the door is secured by throwing it.
- Deadbolt Worked from Outside: Key outside retracts and projects deadbolt — the key throws the deadbolt to secure the opening and withdraws it to release it.
- Deadbolt Turned by Hand Inside: Thumbturn inside retracts and projects deadbolt — the deadbolt is thrown and withdrawn by hand from the inside, with no key needed on that side.

Door preparation: ANSI/SDI A250.14 modified per template 7057. Backset 2-3/4" (70mm) only. Confirm the stile before specifying: 4-1/2" (114mm) minimum stile for 7800/8200.
