Hager 891S Perimeter Weatherstrip | Mill Aluminum with Grey Vinyl Insert

The Hager 891S is a high-performance commercial door weatherstrip designed to seal the head and jamb perimeters of a door opening. By combining a durable mill finish aluminum housing with a high-grade grey vinyl insert, this gasketing system creates a reliable barrier against air, dust, and moisture. Engineered for high-traffic environments, the 891S is an essential component for improving building energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

Advanced Fire Safety and Smoke Control

The Hager 891S is more than just a weather seal; it is a critical life-safety component. This gasketing is UL Classified and has been fire-tested in accordance with UL10C, making it suitable for use with Category H and J doors. Additionally, it meets ASTM E283-91 standards for air and smoke infiltration, providing an effective barrier against the transfer of hazardous fumes in fire-rated corridors, hospitals, and office buildings.

Extreme Temperature Resilience and Adjustability

Designed to perform in the harshest climates, the specialized vinyl insert remains fully flexible in temperatures as low as -40°F. This prevents the seal from becoming brittle or cracking during winter, ensuring a consistent seal year-round. To ensure a perfect fit, the aluminum housing features slotted screw holes, allowing for easy adjustment to compensate for door misalignment or settling.
