The PDQ MR276 KJ (often ordered as KJSJ for the Ball Knob on a J-Series round rose) is a premier Grade 1 Privacy w/Indicator Function Mortise Lockset engineered for demanding commercial environments. While typical commercial locks are rated for one million cycles, the PDQ MR Series is tested to over 11 million cycles -- extending the hardware lifespan by 11 times the industry standard. This lockset suits restrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, and single-occupancy spaces where staff and visitors need to see at a glance whether a room is in use. A visual occupancy indicator on the outside displays VACANT or OCCUPIED.
Constructed with a heavy-duty 12-gauge cold rolled steel mechanism, the MR276 adds a visual occupancy indicator to the trusted MR privacy function. The Ball Knob (KJ) offers a clean, architectural aesthetic in a US32D Satin Stainless finish.
ANSI Function F22 (w/Indicator): Privacy w/Indicator
The Privacy w/Indicator function operates the latchbolt from either side and locks the outside lever by an interior thumbturn, with an emergency coin-turn release on the outside; an outside indicator window shows the room's occupancy status:
- Latchbolt operated by lever from either side.
- Emergency coin turn outside unlocks outside lever.
- Thumbturn inside locks/unlocks outside lever.
- Closing door unlocks outside lever.
- Rotating inside lever unlocks outside lever.
- Indicator, outside -- (VACANT/OCCUPIED).
Finish availability: This indicator function is not offered in 626 (US26D Satin Chrome). The base finish is 630 (US32D Satin Stainless), with premium architectural finishes (605, 606, 612, 613E, 622, 629) also available.
