The Norton 7500 Series Surface Door Closer is a heavy-duty, institutional-grade surface-mounted closer engineered for high-traffic commercial and institutional openings. Featuring a cast aluminum rack-and-pinion body, a 1-1/2 in (38 mm) piston, and 5/8 in pinion journals, the 7500 delivers consistent, reliable closing force across spring sizes 1 through 6 — accommodating doors up to 250 lb. This listing covers the Tri-Style packaging configuration, which ships one box containing mounting hardware for regular arm, top jamb, and parallel arm applications. The 7500 is non-hold-open and UL listed for labeled fire doors under UL10C up to 3-hour ratings.

- NorGlide Multi-Viscosity Fluid: Rated to -40°F, maintaining stable performance in extreme cold climates without fluid thickening or erratic closing.
- ADA / ANSI A117.1 Designed to Comply: Engineered to meet accessible opening-force requirements; installer note — very low opening force settings may prevent positive latching on some openings.
- UL Listed — Fire Door Rated: Non-hold-open configuration is UL listed for labeled fire doors, UL10C, up to 3-hour ratings.
- 30-Year Limited Warranty: Plus lifetime warranty on the aluminum housing, reflecting institutional build quality.

Installer Note: Norton warrants this closer for interior applications only. Installation on the exterior side of a door in an exterior wall voids the warranty. An auxiliary wall, floor, or overhead stop is recommended to protect the door and hardware at full swing.
Closer Adjustments
Use the hex wrench supplied with the closer. Never force valves out of the closer. Never completely close the backcheck valve. The door must be open to adjust spring power. Do not use a power drill -- that voids the warranty. Do not remove the valves; removal causes a fluid leak.
