Functional Performance: Apartment/Corridor (8847)
- Toggle Control: The latchbolt is retracted by the lever on either side, unless the outside lever is locked by the stopwork activator (toggle).
- Dual Security: The 1" stainless steel deadbolt is operated by a key from the exterior or a thumbturn from the interior.
- Automatic Exterior Locking: When the deadbolt is projected, the outside lever is automatically locked to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Anti-Panic Egress: Turning the inside lever automatically retracts both the latchbolt and the deadbolt simultaneously. Crucially, the outside lever remains locked after egress to maintain security.
- Deadlocking Latchbolt: Prevents "shimming" or "loiding" the latch, providing an extra layer of protection against forced entry.
