Sargent 68-4569 Center Chassis Assembly - 12-NB-8700 Series - RHR
The Sargent 68-4569 is a genuine OEM Center Chassis Assembly (Active Case) specifically designed for the Sargent 12-NB-8700 Series Surface Vertical Rod (SVR) exit device. This specialized chassis is engineered for No Bottom Rod (NB) applications, which are the industry standard for fire-rated openings where floor strikes are undesirable. Precision-configured for Right Hand Reverse (RHR) openings and sold "Less Cover," this factory-spec assembly is the professional solution for maintaining life-safety compliance on your top-latching fire doors.
Institutional Grade Features & Benefits
- "NB" (No Bottom Rod) Engineering: Specifically timed and tensioned to operate the top rod only, reducing mechanical complexity and maintenance.
- Fire-Rated (12-) Compliance: UL-certified for use on fire-labeled door assemblies, housing the heavy-duty components required for positive latching under heat.
- RHR Specific Configuration: Factory-set for Right Hand Reverse doors to ensure internal lift-lever geometry and rod attachment points align perfectly with your header latch.
- Heavy-Duty Durability: Constructed with high-strength alloys to withstand the constant cycling found in schools, hospitals, and high-occupancy commercial exits.
