Important Application Notes
An electromagnetic lock is not a complete egress solution on its own. Per applicable fire and life-safety codes, the M82BD must be integrated with latching hardware and a fire-alarm release (power-off on alarm). A standalone push button does not satisfy code as the sole means of egress release. This model does not include offset strike, split strike, or shock-absorbing strike — order separately if required. This is not a PoE (Power over Ethernet) model. Do not use lithium or NiMH batteries with AQD or AQS power supplies in the same system.
