Installation & Egress Notes
An electromagnetic lock is not a standalone egress solution. Per NFPA 101 and local fire codes, maglocks must be integrated with compliant latching hardware, fire-alarm release, and a request-to-exit device — a push button alone does not satisfy egress requirements. Consult the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) before specifying. This model does not include an offset strike, split strike, or shock-absorbing strike; order those separately as required by the frame condition. Do not use lithium or NiMH batteries with Securitron AQD or AQS power supplies.
