The Alarm Controls 300S is a compact, low-profile electromagnetic lock (maglock) designed for single-door access control applications including cabinets, showcases, and interior doors. Operating on 12 or 24 VDC (jumper selectable), the 300S delivers a 300 lb holding force with minimal current draw, making it an efficient choice for low-voltage access control systems. Access Control Code Considerations

When integrating any electromagnetic lock into an egress path, applicable building codes (IBC, NFPA 101) require that the locking system release upon: loss of power to the lock, activation of the fire alarm system, and — where required — activation of a manual push-button release device. For doors in the means of egress, consult your Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and a qualified access control professional to confirm compliance with IBC 1010.1.9.9 or NFPA 101 §7.2.1.5.6 as applicable. Systems must be listed per ANSI/UL 294 where required by code.
