Dorma F8300B Fire-Rated Rim Exit Device for 36" Wide Door
The Dorma F8300B is a Grade 1 fire-labeled rim exit device for wide-stile wood or metal fire openings. The F prefix is the fire label, not a function. This page is the factory B rail (36 in door), function 01 Exit Only -- no outside trim. Panic 8300B is a separate listing.
Grade 1 Strength and Universal Design
Certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1, the fire-labeled 8300 family uses the same deadlocking latch bolt as the panic rim and stays non-handed. Schools and other rated exits use F8300B when the opening needs a Grade 1 fire-labeled 8000 Series rim and no exterior trim. Final hardware must match the opening fire rating and the AHJ.

This F8300B is the fire-labeled mechanical rim. A published hourly rating and UL file number are not claimed here. The 8000 order block lists factory options including ES, MS, and LM. Those options are not on this 01 Exit Only page.

- No hex-key dogging: less dogging is standard on the fire-labeled F8300. Hex-key dogging is on the panic 8300 only.

- Non-handed rim: order rail length; handing is not a factory option on this rim.
