Dorma PD Parallel Drop Bracket (Non-Hold Open)
The Dorma PD is the parallel drop bracket. Price List 38 prints it as the drop bracket for non-hold-open arms (AR, AO8 only), list $56. The 8600 brochure (printed p.29) says it clears a surface-applied stop or holder on 8600 NHO parallel-arm applications.
The 7400 plates note says PD mirrors the 8600 part. This page is the bracket only.
Does PD work with a hold-open parallel arm?
Price List 38 limits PD to non-hold-open arms AR and AO8 only. Friction hold-open parallel uses the PHB bracket, not PD.
When do I add a BS spacer with PD?
PL38 and the 8600 brochure: BS is the blade-stop spacer for P86, PHB, and PD on cased frames with applied blade stops.
