Dorma 9400B SVR Exit Device
The Dorma 9400B is a heavy-duty, Grade 1 surface vertical rod exit device for wide-stile wood or metal pairs that cannot take a mullion. This page is the factory B rail (36 in door), function 01 Exit Only, default RHR. It is not a 9300 rim and it is not the hyphenated 9400-630 string.
Grade 1 Strength and Universal Design
Certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1, the 9400 latches top and bottom so the pair stays clear in the middle. Schools, docks, and other wide exits use this when a removable mullion would block the opening. Specify 7 ft or 8 ft door height -- factory rods are precut for those heights.
Advanced Security and Electrified Integration
This 9400B is the mechanical panic SVR, not F9400. The 9000 order block lists factory options including MLR, ES, MS, and LM. Those options are not on this 01 Exit Only page. 9400B 630 is the complete lettered device; hyphenated 9400-630 is a different, cheaper string.
