The Don-Jo MEST-125 Extended Lip Mortise ASA Strike is a heavy-duty, non-ferrous mortise strike engineered for doors that require a longer lip reach between the latch bolt and the frame-mounted catch. Manufactured by Don-Jo Manufacturing, the MEST-125 carries a 13 ga. (.095) wall thickness — the same commercial-grade construction specified on institutional and multi-family projects where an undersized or lightweight strike will not hold alignment over time. The extended lip ASA strike measures 2-1/2" wide × 4-7/8" tall, with the 2-1/2" lip dimension measured from the center of the screw hole to the end of the lip, providing the clearance needed on thicker door stops or offset frames where a standard-lip mortise strike falls short. A single latch hole accommodates the mortise lock latchbolt, and the face plate seats flush in a standard ASA mortise strike prep.
