Don-Jo 71 Push Plate — 4" x 16" x .050"
The Don-Jo 71 is a commercial push plate measuring 4" wide by 16" high in .050" material, certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.6 J301. It is the standard push plate for a non-latching door — corridor, restroom, and back-of-house openings.
Where it fits
Push plates protect the door face from hand contact and finger soiling at the point of daily use. The 4" x 16" size is the middle of the Don-Jo .050" range and the most common commercial specification: wide enough to take a full hand without crowding a narrow stile.
Specification highlights
- ANSI/BHMA A156.6, function J301 — the push-plate designation architects specify.
- .050" material — the standard-duty gauge across the Don-Jo 69–73 series.
- Seven finishes carried here, from polished brass through satin chrome and satin nickel.
Ordering notes
Don-Jo push plates are ordered as number + size + finish. The .050" series (models 69–73) is offered in aluminum, brass, bronze, stainless steel, and plastic depending on finish. If the specification calls for a heavier plate in this same 4" x 16" size, the Don-Jo 78 is the .125" stainless steel equivalent (630 satin stainless only).
This item is made to order. Lead time is 3–10 business days.
