The Corbin Russwin ML2049 DSM is a heavy-duty Grade 1 Storeroom Deadbolt mortise lockset on Dirke Lever x M Escutcheon (DSM) trim. It is built on the ML2000 Series platform and is certified to A156.13 Series 1000, Operational and Security Grade 1.
Helpful hint: Dirke levers are handed. The upwards curve points to the hinges -- that is the lever handing. A lever pointing right (the factory DSM photo) is RH or RHR. A lever pointing left is LH or LHR. Choose LH or RH on this listing. The lock case can still be field-reversed for swing (RH to RHR, LH to LHR).
Storeroom Deadbolt Function -- What It Means
The Storeroom Deadbolt function keeps the outside grip always rigid. Latchbolt and deadbolt by grip inside or by key outside. The inside grip simultaneously retracts deadbolt and latchbolt and is always free. Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key outside or thumbturn grip inside. An auxiliary latch deadlocks the latchbolt. An indicator, when specified, shows deadbolt position only.
