Lock Operation Detailed

The Corbin Russwin ML2003 ESM is a heavy-duty Grade 1 Classroom mortise lockset on Essex Lever x M Escutcheon (ESM) trim. It is built on the ML2000 Series platform and is certified to A156.13 Series 1000, Operational and Security Grade 1.
Classroom Function -- What It Means
The Classroom function lets a key lock or unlock the outside grip. The latchbolt is retracted by grip from either side unless the outside grip is locked. The inside grip is always free for egress. An auxiliary latch deadlocks the latchbolt when the door is closed.
