Lock Operation Detailed
- Latchbolt by grip from either side unless outside grip is locked by projection of deadbolt.
- Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key from either side.
- Inside grip simultaneously retracts latchbolt and deadbolt; outside grip remains locked.
- Key either side unlocks outside grip; outside grip remains locked unless unlocked by key.
- Auxiliary latch deadlocks latchbolt.
- Note: Indicator shows deadbolt position only.
The Corbin Russwin LB-ML2072 is the bare ML2000 Series heavy-duty mortise lock body (case only) configured for the Classroom Intruder function. Price Book No. 42 page 106 Lock Only sells this as trim key LL (Lever x Lever): it includes the lockcase, armored front, strike and screw pack. Cylinder(s) and thumbturn lever are not included. Order the complete lockset when you need levers, roses, or escutcheons on the same opening.
Classroom Intruder Function -- What It Means
The Classroom Intruder function locks the outside grip by projection of the deadbolt. Latchbolt by grip from either side unless the outside grip is locked that way. Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key from either side. The inside grip simultaneously retracts latchbolt and deadbolt; the outside grip remains locked. A key either side unlocks the outside grip; the outside grip remains locked unless unlocked by key. An auxiliary latch deadlocks the latchbolt. An indicator, when specified, shows deadbolt position only.
