Lock Operation Detailed
- Latchbolt by grip either side, unless outside grip is locked by toggle-action stop or by projection of deadbolt.
- Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key outside or by thumbturn grip inside.
- Latchbolt and deadbolt retracted by key when outside grip is locked by toggle-action stop.
- Inside grip simultaneously retracts latchbolt and deadbolt; outside grip remains locked.
- Auxiliary latch deadlocks latchbolt.
- Outside grip unlocked by toggle-action stop.
- Note: Indicator shows deadbolt position only.
The Corbin Russwin LB-ML2067 is the bare ML2000 Series heavy-duty mortise lock body (case only) configured for the Apartment or Dormitory function ANSI/BHMA F20. Price Book No. 42 page 106 Lock Only sells this as trim key LL (Lever x Lever): it includes the lockcase, armored front, strike and screw pack. Cylinder(s) and thumbturn lever are not included. Order the complete lockset when you need levers, roses, or escutcheons on the same opening.
Apartment Function -- What It Means
The Apartment or Dormitory function (ANSI/BHMA F20) locks the outside grip by a toggle-action stop or by projection of the deadbolt. Latchbolt by grip either side unless the outside is locked that way. Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key outside or by thumbturn grip inside. Latchbolt and deadbolt retracted by key when the outside grip is locked by the toggle-action stop. The inside grip simultaneously retracts latchbolt and deadbolt; the outside grip remains locked. The outside grip is unlocked by the toggle-action stop. An auxiliary latch deadlocks the latchbolt. An indicator, when specified, shows deadbolt position only.
