The Corbin Russwin LB-ML2048 is the bare ML2000 Series heavy-duty mortise lock body (case only) configured for the Entrance or Apartment function ANSI/BHMA F08/F10. Price Book No. 42 page 106 Lock Only sells this as trim key LL (Lever x Lever): it includes the lockcase, armored front, strike and screw pack. Cylinder(s) and thumbturn lever are not included. Order the complete lockset when you need levers, roses, or escutcheons on the same opening.
Entrance Function -- What It Means
The Entrance or Apartment function (ANSI/BHMA F08/F10) is a single-cylinder lockbody with a deadbolt and a latchbolt. Latchbolt by key outside or by grip either side unless the outside grip is locked by a toggle-action stop. Deadbolt by key outside or by thumbturn grip inside. The inside grip is free when the deadbolt is retracted. The catalog prints non-panic release and no simultaneous deadbolt and latch retraction. An indicator, when specified, shows deadbolt position only. When lever handles are furnished, both outside and inside are locked when the deadbolt is projected.
