McKinney TA786 NRP Heavy Weight Hinge | 5" x 4-1/2" Satin Chrome

The McKinney TA786 NRP is a high-performance heavy weight concealed bearing hinge specifically engineered for high-traffic commercial applications. Featuring a streamlined 3-knuckle, full mortise profile and a robust .190 gauge thickness, this hinge is the ultimate solution for door restoration on heavy wood or metal doors. Finished in professional US26D Satin Chrome, it combines a modern architectural aesthetic with advanced security features for demanding institutional environments.

High-Security NRP (Non-Removable Pin)

The NRP (Non-Removable Pin) feature is a critical security innovation for modern facility management. It utilizes a hidden set screw driven into the hinge barrel that is completely inaccessible when the door is closed.

• Anti-Tamper Protection: Prevents unauthorized removal of the door by ensuring the pin cannot be tapped out from the exterior.

• Essential for Outward Swinging Doors: Provides a vital solution for commercial door security on exterior-facing doors where hinge barrels are exposed.
• Forced Entry Prevention: Safeguards against intruders attempting to bypass locking hardware through hinge manipulation.

Advanced Concealed Bearing Technology (TA Prefix)

The TA Prefix signifies McKinney’s sophisticated twin anti-friction bearing system, providing a smooth swing without the bulky appearance of traditional 5-knuckle styles:

• Concealed Vertical & Lateral Thrust: Dual internal bearings manage heavy door weights and lateral forces, ensuring silent and effortless operation.
• Modern 3-Knuckle Aesthetic: By hiding the bearings, this hinge offers a continuous, elegant line that is easier to clean and maintain in medical or office settings.
• Heavy Weight .190 Gauge: Built with industrial-grade steel to support oversized doors and withstand frequent daily cycles without sagging or failure.
