Dorma PFT Parallel Flush Transom Bracket
The Dorma PFT is the parallel flush transom bracket. Price List 38 lists it at $44. The 8600 brochure (printed p.29) says it is for hold-open and non-hold-open parallel arm installs where a flush transom prohibits P86 or PHB.
The 7400 plates note says PFT mirrors the 8600 part and is also used on 7400. This page is the bracket only.
When do I need PFT instead of P86?
P86 is the standard parallel-arm bracket. PFT is the flush-transom version -- use it when a flush transom prohibits P86 or PHB (8600 brochure p.29).
Is PFT the same as FTHD?
No. PFT is the parallel-arm flush transom bracket for standard NHO / HO parallel arms. FTHD is the heavy-duty flush transom bracket for DS and SPA arms.
