Adams Rite Steel Hawk 4300 Electrified Deadlatch
The Adams Rite Steel Hawk 4300 is a non-handed, narrow-stile electrified deadlatch for aluminum entrance doors. It is fail secure only. Apply voltage, turn a key, or operate the handle or paddle to release the spring-loaded latchbolt. Egress from the inside by handle or paddle does not depend on power. Entry is by a keyed mortise cylinder or an access-control device. UL 294 Listed.
How to Order
Specify backset, strike, and finish. Monitoring is optional. The lock is non-handed, so there is no hand digit. Lips 17 and 21, and the RITE Pack, are related products ordered separately.
- Backset: 31/32 inch (2), 1-1/8 inch (3), or 1-1/2 inch (4).
- Monitoring: 0 none, or M Form C latch-status monitor.
- Strike: 101 surface-mount 4304 with flat / standard jamb. 201 mortised 4901-01, 4-5/8 inch, flat / standard jamb. 202 mortised 4901-02 radius for pairs of doors. Extended lips for center-hung or thick doors are accessory strikes.
- Finish: 628 Clear Anodized, 313 Dark Bronze Anodized, or 335 Black Anodized.
What Ships
- Strike plate, flat faceplate, and radius faceplate, plus mounting screws.
- 4581 universal cam plug for the specified handle or paddle. Cylinder, paddle, and handle are separate.
- Both flat and radius faceplates are supplied. A flat faceplate can be adjusted in the field for a right or left beveled edge. Faceplate size is 1 inch by 6-7/8 inch.
- The 4600M monitoring switch cannot be used with the 4300.

RITE Pack is a separate package: the deadlatch plus two flat faceplates and two radius faceplates, one each of 628 and 313. Monitoring is not available on the RITE Pack.
