The Accentra MOR 8830-2FL (formerly Yale 8800 Series) is a heavy-duty Asylum Or Institutional Lock Function mortise lockset built for commercial and institutional openings. It is certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000, Grade 1 -- the highest operational and security grade the standard defines -- and carries the Monroe (MOR) lever on the standard rose.
Built for openings that are opened and closed thousands of times a year, it uses a wrought steel, zinc dichromate plated case, 3/8" solid steel (heat treated) hubs and a 3/4" throw stainless steel anti-friction latchbolt. Available in fourteen architectural finishes, it is field reversible and ships with the door prep and installation drawings for the trim shown.
Function Details: Asylum Or Institutional Lock (ANSI/BHMA F30)
- Keyed From Both Sides: Latchbolt retracted by key both sides — a key retracts the latchbolt from either face.
- The Lever Does Not Turn: Rigid knob/lever both sides for use as pulls only — this lever is rigid -- a fixed handle for pushing and pulling the door; it does not rotate and it operates nothing.
- Anti-Shim Protection: Deadlocking latchbolt — a small plunger beside the latchbolt rides the strike when the door closes; with it depressed the latchbolt cannot be shimmed back with a card.
