Function Info: Latchbolt retracted by knob/lever either side unless outside knob/lever is locked by key. Deadbolt operated by key either side. When deadbolt is projected, outside knob/lever is automatically locked. Key retraction of deadbolt unlocks outside knob/lever. Anti-panic operation. Operating inside knob/lever retracts the latchbolt and deadbolt simultaneously, automatically unlocking outside knob/lever.
The Accentra COR 8811-2K (formerly Yale 8800 Series) is a heavy-duty Intruder Deadbolt Lock Function mortise lockset built for commercial and institutional openings. It is certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000, Grade 1 -- the highest operational and security grade the standard defines -- and carries the Copenhagen (COR) knob on the standard rose.
Built for openings that are opened and closed thousands of times a year, it uses a wrought steel, zinc dichromate plated case and a 3/4" throw stainless steel anti-friction latchbolt. Available in fourteen architectural finishes, it is field reversible and ships with the door prep and installation drawings for the trim shown.
Function Details: Intruder Deadbolt Lock (ANSI/BHMA F33)
- Outside Knob Works Until It Is Locked: Latchbolt retracted by knob/lever either side unless outside knob/lever is locked by key — the outside knob retracts the latchbolt normally, and stops the moment the lock is set against it.
- Deadbolt Keyed from Both Faces: Deadbolt operated by key either side — the key throws and withdraws the deadbolt from either side of the door.
- Projecting the Deadbolt Locks the Outside Knob: When deadbolt is projected, outside knob/lever is automatically locked — with the deadbolt thrown the outside knob is locked, so a single action secures both the bolt and the trim.
- The Deadbolt Also Controls the Outside Knob: Key retraction of deadbolt unlocks outside knob/lever — the key throws and withdraws the deadbolt from either side, and the same action locks and unlocks the outside knob with it.
- Life-Safety Free Egress -- and the Outside Trim Unlocks With It: Anti-panic operation. Operating inside knob/lever retracts the latchbolt and deadbolt simultaneously, automatically unlocking outside knob/lever. — one motion of the inside knob pulls both bolts together, and that same motion also unlocks the outside knob, so the opening does not re-secure itself behind whoever left.
