The Accentra AUR 8801FL (formerly Yale 8800 Series) is a heavy-duty Passage Or Closet Latch Function mortise latchset built for commercial and institutional openings. It is certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000, Grade 1 -- the highest operational and security grade the standard defines -- and carries the Augusta (AUR) lever on the standard rose.
Built for openings that are opened and closed thousands of times a year, it uses a wrought steel, zinc dichromate plated case, 3/8" solid steel (heat treated) hubs and a 3/4" throw stainless steel anti-friction latchbolt. Supplied in 626 Satin Chrome, it is field reversible and ships with the door prep and installation drawings for the trim shown.
Function Details: Passage Or Closet Latch (ANSI/BHMA F01)
- A Passage Function -- Nothing Locks: For doors that do not require locking — there is no locking of any kind here; the levers simply work the latch from both sides.
- Lever Works the Latch from Either Side, Always: Latchbolt retracted by knob/lever either side at all times — either lever retracts the latchbolt, and nothing locks the lever out on either face.
