Basic Automatic Door Operator Configurations
The foundation of an accessible facility begins with a reliable, low-energy automatic door operator. Our Basic Door Operator Applications are designed for openings that require seamless ADA compliance without the complexity of integrated access control. These configurations provide a "plug-and-play" solution for interior offices, restrooms, and storefronts, ensuring that every user can navigate your space with ease and dignity.

System Operation:
The Basic Door Operator setup functions as a semi-automatic system, primarily serving as a manual door that provides power-assist or automatic opening when triggered.
- Standard Use: Under normal conditions, the door operates as a high-quality manual closer. The low-energy motor offers minimal resistance, allowing for easy manual operation.
- Activation: When a user requires assistance, they engage an actuator—such as a wall-mounted push plate or a touchless wave sensor.
- Opening Cycle: Upon receiving the signal, the operator’s control box initiates a timed opening cycle. The door opens at a regulated, safe speed (per ANSI A156.19 standards) and holds for a predetermined "dwell time."
- Closing & Safety: After the dwell time expires, the operator gently closes the door. If the door encounters an obstruction during the cycle, the built-in friction clutch or electronic sensing immediately stops the door to prevent injury or equipment damage.
- Power Loss: In the event of a power failure, the operator reverts to a standard manual door closer, ensuring the opening remains functional and fire-code compliant.
