Automatic Door Operator with Electric Strike Application
Balance high security with effortless accessibility using our Electric Strike Door Operator Applications. This versatile configuration allows you to electrify an existing opening without replacing your current lockset. By pairing a heavy-duty electric strike with an automatic operator, you create a seamless entry point that remains securely locked to the outside while providing automated, ADA-compliant access upon authorized activation.

System Operation:
The Electric Strike application works by electronically releasing the lock’s "keeper" to allow the door to swing open without retracting the latch manually.
- Doors with electric strikes in the normally closed and locked position.
- Manually depressing interior or exterior pushbutton will activate the electric strike.
- Operators will remain inactive for a predetermined period of time.
- Upon expiration of the time delay, the door operator will activate.
- Electric strike will relock after a predetermined period of time.
Operations Summary
- Authorization: A user presents a credential to a card reader or presses a push-to-open actuator.
- Strike Release: The system sends power to the electric strike (either Fail-Safe or Fail-Secure). The strike's keeper pivots, allowing the door's mechanical latch to move past it.
- Operator Sequencing: Once the strike is released, the door operator initiates the opening cycle. There is often a slight "pre-load" delay to ensure the strike has fully cleared before the door begins to move.
- Entry/Exit: The door opens to the set position and holds for the programmed dwell time.
- Relatching: As the door closes and reaches the home position, the electric strike keeper returns to its locked state, recapturing the mechanical latch.
- Mechanical Override: From the interior, egress is usually always free via the standard lever or knob, maintaining life-safety compliance.
Door Operators
Enable hands-free access with high-performance low-energy operators. We stock Norton’s 6000 and 5200 Series for intelligent, WiFi-integrated control, alongside Hager’s 8300 and 8400 Series for robust, cost-effective automation. These units offer adjustable opening speeds and "boost on close" technology to ensure security and compliance in any facility.
Power Supplies & Power Transfer
Ensure your electrified hardware never misses a beat with our Securitron BPS and PSP power supplies, which deliver clean, filtered power to your access control system. To protect critical wiring from damage or tampering, we offer a full range of power transfer solutions, including concealed electric hinges, EPTs, and heavy-duty armored door loops.
Operator Push Buttons
Complete your automation system with durable activation switches. Explore a wide variety of Hager and Norton push plates, including 4-1/2" square and 6" round designs. Available in hardwired or wireless RF configurations, these buttons feature high-visibility ADA logos and stainless steel finishes to withstand constant public use.
Door Operator Components
Keep your automation systems running smoothly with genuine accessories and installation hardware. This section includes essential Norton and Hager components designed for seamless integration, such as bollard posts for push buttons and high-reliability wireless transmitters and receivers.
Readers, Keypads & Egress Sensors
Control who enters and how they exit. This section includes Securitron DK-26 keypads, proximity readers, and high-accuracy XMS2 motion sensors. In 2026, we prioritize "No-Touch" technology, featuring Alarm Controls wave-to-open sensors that trigger both the lock release and the door operator for a completely sanitary, hands-free experience.
Exit Devices
(Panic Bars)
Essential for life safety, our exit devices ensure rapid, unhindered egress. We stock rim, surface vertical rod, and concealed vertical rod devices from Sargent (80 Series) and Hager (4500 Series). Whether you need fire-rated hardware or high-abuse "windstorm" rated devices, these panic bars provide uncompromising security and code compliance.
Electric Strikes
Upgrade your existing mechanical hardware with remote release capabilities. Electric strikes are mortised into the door frame, allowing a door to remain locked to the public while giving authorized users access via keypad or card reader. We stock heavy-duty, fire-rated options from Securitron and Alarm Controls that are compatible with cylindrical, mortise, and exit device hardware. Available in fail-secure configurations to maintain security during power outages.
Magnetic Releases
Magnetic door releases are essential life-safety components designed to hold fire-rated doors open during high-traffic hours and release them instantly upon signal from a fire alarm or smoke detector. These fail-safe devices ensure that smoke and fire are contained by allowing doors to self-close the moment power is interrupted.

ElectroLynx® Accessories
To eliminate the risk of field-wiring errors, McKinney ElectroLynx® accessories offer a plug-and-play system. This section includes cable harnesses, crimpers, and connectors that allow for snap-together installation, significantly reducing labor costs and ensuring a fail-safe connection between the power source and the hardware.
