The compact black ABS plastic enclosure mounts under a desk or counter surface via two integrated mounting ears. The recessed pushbutton is protected by a 1-inch guard ring to prevent accidental actuation — a critical feature in high-traffic environments where incidental contact could inadvertently release a door. Depressing the button operates the internal switch contacts directly, providing a clean, CPU-bypass signal path to the locking device.
