The Sargent 351 PHTB Door Closer is the ultimate heavy-duty solution for high-traffic commercial openings that require a clean, low-profile aesthetic without compromising on control. Part of the world-class Powerglide® series, the 351 PHTB features a Push Side Hold Open Track Arm with an integrated Track Bumper. This specialized track system mounts directly to the frame stop, providing a sleek appearance by eliminating traditional projecting arms while offering a variable hold-open range (85° – 95°) and a cushioned bumper to assist the hydraulic backcheck.

Constructed from a unique 14% silicon aluminum alloy, the one-piece die-cast body offers superior strength and wear resistance, certified to ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards. This non-handed closer features adjustable spring power from Size 1 to 6, making it a versatile choice for interior doors up to 5'0" wide. While the track design is aesthetically superior, please note that Push Side Track applications generally do not meet ADA accessibility requirements due to the increased opening force required.

Installation & Architectural Compatibility

The Sargent 351 PHTB is designed for Push Side Mounting, where the track is installed on the frame stop. This application requires a minimum top rail of 5-3/4"; however, it can be installed on rails as narrow as 3" when using a 351-D Drop Plate. To ensure a rock-solid attachment to wood or mineral core doors, this unit is supplied with Sargent thru bolts.
