Forged from a specialized 14% silicon aluminum alloy, the one-piece die-cast body provides industry-leading strength and wear resistance. Its heat-treated full closed rack and pinion ensures precise door control from the full open position down to the final latch. With adjustable spring power from Size 1 to 6, this closer meets all ADA accessibility requirements while maintaining the robust force needed for fire-rated perimeters.
Architectural Grade Performance & Safety
- Low-Profile Track Design: The extruded aluminum track and forged steel arm are mounted on the pull side, providing a modern look and reducing the risk of the arm being used as a lever for tampering.
- Precision Hydraulic Control: Features a large 1-1/2" diameter piston for superior control. Separate brass valves allow for independent regulation of closing speed, latching speed, and backcheck.
- All-Weather Reliability: Pre-filled with all-weather hydraulic fluid, ensuring the closer operates effectively in extreme temperatures without the need for seasonal valve adjustments.
- Tamper-Resistant Engineering: All adjustment valves are controlled via an 1/8" Allen wrench and are captivated within the body to prevent accidental removal or vandalism.
- Versatile Interior Application: This non-sized, adjustable unit fits interior doors up to 5'0" wide. While shipped factory preset for a 3'0" door, it can be factory pre-sized upon request.

Installation & Customization Options
The Sargent 351 OT is designed for pull-side mounting on the door leaf with the track on the frame face. The package includes self-sticking templates and all necessary fasteners. For installations on wood or mineral core doors, it is recommended to use the included Sargent thru bolts to ensure a rigid, long-lasting attachment.
- Optional Track Accessories: Enhance your installation with an optional Bumper to assist backcheck (requires an auxiliary stop) or an adjustable Holder to keep the door open at a specific angle.
- Standard Finishes: Available in high-durability powder-coated finishes including EN (Aluminum), EB (Dark Bronze), EAB (Brass), ED, EP, and EAB. Architectural plated arms and covers are also optional for high-end aesthetic requirements.
- MicroShield® Finish: An optional antimicrobial silver-based coating is available to permanently suppress the growth of bacteria, mold, and fungus.
