Application Guidance
The 25-O is a standard (O-type) regular arm — the most common arm configuration for pull-side, hinge-side closer installations. Per DHI and closer manufacturer guidance, standard-arm applications are the most efficient mounting position for power and closing control on interior doors. The arm connects the closer body (mounted on the door face) to the door frame, controlling both sweep speed and final latching action.
For installations requiring the door to open beyond 120°, an alternate mounting position or a corner bracket accessory allows up to 180° swing. This is particularly useful in high-traffic areas such as corridors, loading areas, and accessible routes where maximum door clearance is required.
Note: For fire-rated openings, ensure the complete door closer assembly (body plus arm) remains UL/cUL listed and that no hold-open features are introduced where prohibited by NFPA 80 or local code.
