Rockwood 455 Curved Roller Stop | US26D Satin Chrome
The Rockwood 455 Curved Roller Stop is a specialized architectural solution designed for complex door layouts where two doors swing into each other at odd angles. Unlike standard wall stops, the curved roller mechanism allows one door to glide smoothly against the other without sticking, binding, or causing surface damage. Forged from solid cast brass, this heavy-duty stop is a staple in hospitals, schools, and commercial offices where space-saving door configurations are common.
Key Features & Professional Benefits
- Gliding Protection: The integrated roller ensures that when doors collide, they are diverted safely. This prevents the "clashing" that often leads to dented door faces and broken hinges.
- Solid Cast Brass Construction: Engineered for the highest level of durability in high-traffic environments. The Satin Chrome (US26D) finish provides a professional, corrosion-resistant look that matches standard commercial hardware.
- ANSI/BHMA Certified: Fully compliant with ANSI A156.16: L02211 standards, meeting the rigorous strength and lifecycle requirements of the American National Standards Institute.
- Replaceable Components: To ensure a lifetime of service, the roller is easily maintainable. The 576B Replacement Roller can be installed if the original becomes worn, eliminating the need to replace the entire unit.

Roller Stops are used when two doors swing into each other.
Use Rockwood 455 curved roller stop when your situation is like this:

Use the straight roller stop for doors that are back to back swinging. They are available in two different projection lengths. Rockwood 456 is 4-9/16” projection and 456L is 6-1/4” projection.

There are only two other options if roller stops are not used to prevent damage to the doors: An Overhead Stop and/or a Hinge Pin Stop. The advantage with the roller stop is that it closes one door as the second door is opening.
