While typical commercial locks are rated for one million cycles, the PDQ MR Series is tested to over 11 million cycles -- extending the hardware lifespan by 11 times the industry standard. It suits restrooms and private rooms that need a privacy deadbolt with an occupancy indicator.
Constructed with a heavy-duty 12-gauge cold rolled steel mechanism and a 1-inch throw investment cast stainless steel deadbolt, the MR278 adds a occupancy indicator to the trusted MR function. The Miami (MIA) lever offers a clean, architectural aesthetic in a US32D Satin Stainless finish. Its "return-to-door" design is not only ADA compliant but also prevents clothing, bags, or straps from snagging on the hardware in busy corridors.
ANSI Function F02 (w/Indicator): Privacy with Deadbolt w/Indicator
The Privacy with Deadbolt w/Indicator function operates the latchbolt from either side, adds a deadbolt thrown by interior thumbturn with an emergency coin-turn release outside, and shows a VACANT/OCCUPIED status on the outside:
- Latchbolt operated by lever from either side.
- Emergency coin turn outside retracts deadbolt.
- Thumbturn inside extends/retracts deadbolt.
