The PDQ MR162 MJSJ is an architectural-grade, Grade 1 Apartment/Corridor Mortise Lock for demanding, high-traffic commercial and institutional openings. It pairs the Miami (MJ) lever -- a gently curved lever with a rounded tip -- on a J-Series Sectional (round rose) in a US32D (630) Satin Stainless finish, and is engineered to exceed the rigorous standards of BHMA Series 1000. It is a versatile solution for apartment-entry and corridor doors where key-controlled deadbolt security, a toggle-lockable outside lever, and single-motion egress are all required. Its "return-to-door" design is ADA compliant and helps prevent clothing, bags, or straps from snagging on the hardware in busy corridors.
Built to withstand punishing institutional use, the MR Series drives a 1" throw investment-cast stainless steel deadbolt and a 3/4" anti-friction stainless latchbolt from a heavy-gauge steel case seated deep in the door pocket -- providing significantly higher forced-entry protection than standard cylindrical locks, the industry standard for schools, hospitals, and government offices.

The ANSI F20 Apartment/Corridor Function pairs a latchbolt with a keyed deadbolt and a lockable outside lever, with single-motion egress from the inside:
- Latchbolt operated by lever from either side.
