The PDQ MR148 DJEJ is an architectural-grade, Grade 1 Classroom Function Mortise Lock for high-traffic commercial environments. It pairs the Dallas (DJ) lever -- a curved lever with a rounded return -- on a J-Series Escutcheon in a US32D (630) Satin Stainless finish, and is engineered to exceed the rigorous standards of BHMA Series 1000. It suits classrooms and similar rooms where the outside lever is locked or unlocked by key while the inside lever is always free for immediate egress. Its "return-to-door" design is ADA compliant and helps prevent clothing, bags, or straps from snagging on the hardware in busy corridors.
Built to withstand punishing institutional use, the MR Series uses a heavy-duty forged brass and stainless steel internal mechanism inside a deep mortise cassette -- providing significantly higher forced-entry protection than standard cylindrical locks, the industry standard for schools, hospitals, and government offices.
