The PDQ MR139 PJSJ is an architectural-grade, Grade 1 Closet / Storeroom Mortise Lock for demanding, high-traffic commercial and institutional openings. It pairs the Philadelphia (PJ) lever -- a clean, straight architectural lever that returns toward the door -- on a J-Series Sectional (round rose) in a US32D (630) Satin Stainless finish, and is engineered to exceed the rigorous standards of BHMA Series 1000. It is a practical solution for closets, storerooms, and utility rooms where the latch stays operable from either side while a keyed deadbolt secures the opening. Its "return-to-door" design is ADA compliant and helps prevent clothing, bags, or straps from snagging on the hardware in busy corridors.
Built to withstand punishing institutional use, the MR Series drives a 1" throw investment-cast stainless steel deadbolt and a 3/4" anti-friction stainless latchbolt from a heavy-gauge steel case seated deep in the door pocket -- providing significantly higher forced-entry protection than standard cylindrical locks, the industry standard for schools, hospitals, and government offices.
