PDQ MR126 MJSR Square Rose Grade 1 Passage Function Mortise Lock - Heavy Duty
The PDQ MR126 MJSR is an architectural-grade, Grade 1 Passage Function Mortise Lock for high-traffic commercial environments. It pairs the Miami (MJ) lever -- a gently curved lever with a rounded tip -- on a J-Series Sectional (square rose) in a US32D (630) Satin Stainless finish, and is engineered to exceed the rigorous standards of BHMA Series 1000. It suits corridor, closet, and other openings that need a latch to hold the door closed but never need to lock. Its "return-to-door" design is ADA compliant and helps prevent clothing, bags, or straps from snagging on the hardware in busy corridors.
Built to withstand punishing institutional use, the MR Series uses a heavy-duty forged brass and stainless steel internal mechanism inside a deep mortise cassette -- providing significantly higher forced-entry protection than standard cylindrical locks, the industry standard for schools, hospitals, and government offices.
ANSI Function F01: Passage
The Passage function operates the latchbolt from either lever; both levers are always free and the door does not lock:
- Latchbolt operated by lever from either side.
SR Square Rose Trim
This is the SR square-rose version. The PDQ MR Series price list (effective March 3, 2025, page 13, "J Series Rose and Escutcheon Lock Adjustment") lists the J-Trim sectional rose in two shapes:
- SJ -- Sectional Round Rose - J Trim: no charge.
- SR -- Sectional Square Rose - J Trim: $20.00 lock adjustment.
Page 13 marks the square rose J-Trim only -- it is not offered on F-Trim. SR is a lock adjustment to the same lock, so the function and lock body are unchanged; the rose shape changes. PDQ publishes a dedicated W53546 Square Rose Sectional Trim door-prep template for this function; it is a different drawing from the round-rose sectional sheet.
